Inpaint

Edited

Overview

Inpaint lets you fix, remove, or change specific parts of an image without affecting the rest. It’s ideal for removing distractions, refining details, or replacing elements using simple text instructions.

What Inpaint Does

  • Edits only the areas you select

  • Keeps the rest of the image unchanged

  • Blends edits naturally with rest of the content

  • Works with simple text prompts

How to Inpaint an Image

1. Open the Image You Want to Edit

You can inpaint:

  • A generated image

  • An uploaded photo

  • An image from your threads

Click the image to open it in the editor.

2. Select Inpaint

In the tool menu or homepage:

  1. Click Inpaint

  2. The brush tool will appear

3. Brush the Area You Want to Change

  • Paint over the part of the image you want to edit

  • Only the brushed area will be affected

  • You can adjust the brush size for more precision

Tip: Be slightly generous with your selection so the AI has enough context.

4. Describe the Change

In the text input, describe what you want to happen in the selected area.

Examples:

  • “Replace the person in the background with xxx”

  • “Replace with a blue sky”

  • “Fix the lighting on the face”

  • “Add a small plant here”

Simple, clear instructions work best.

5. Apply and Review

  • Click Confirm or Generate

  • The AI will update only the selected area

  • Review the result and retry if needed

Each successful inpaint counts as one action.

Tips for Best Results

  • Be specific but concise in your prompt

  • Avoid brushing too small, give the model context

  • For simple removal, try minimal instructions like “remove this”

  • For replacements, clearly describe what should appear instead

Credits & Usage

  • Inpainting costs 5 credits per successful result

  • Credits are only deducted if the inpaint completes successfully

  • Failed or interrupted attempts do not use credits

Troubleshooting

The result isn’t what I expected

Rephrase your instruction or try a second pass.

Nothing changed

Make sure the area is fully brushed and your prompt is clear.
