Image Edit

Edited

Overview

Image Edit lets you modify an existing image using simple text instructions. You can adjust the look, fix details, or make changes without starting from scratch.

What Image Edit Does

  • Edits existing images using natural-language prompts

  • Lets you transform an image in many different ways, from subtle fixes to creative makeovers

  • Change style, mood, or identity (e.g. cartoon, cinematic, professional headshot)

  • Modify appearance details like hairstyle, makeup, outfit, or lighting

  • Apply playful or artistic edits, or refine images for professional use

  • Keeps the main subject and composition consistent while refining the result

How to Edit an Image

1. Open the Image

You can edit:

  • A generated image

  • An uploaded photo

  • An image from your threads

Click the image to open it in the editor or continue in the same thread.

2. Describe the Edit

Type what you want to change directly into the chat box, just like you would in Image Generation.

Example edit prompts:

  • “Make the lighting softer”

  • “Change the hairstyle into short bob”

  • “Change the outfit into business casual”

  • “Give it a clean studio look”

  • "Turn this into a professional headshot"

You don’t need special keywords, plain language works best.

3. Apply and Review

  • Submit your prompt

  • Kira applies the edit to the image

  • Review the result and refine if needed

Each successful edit counts as one action.

When to Use Image Edit

Use Image Edit when you want to:

  • Improve an existing image

  • Change mood, lighting, or color

  • Refine details without regenerating everything

  • Iterate quickly on a base image

Tips for Best Results

  • Be specific about what you want to change

  • Edit in small steps for more control

  • If you want to change a specific area, use Inpaint

  • Use Redux if you want variations instead of direct edits

Credits & Usage

  • Image editing costs 5 credits per successful result

  • Credits are deducted only when the edit completes successfully

  • Failed or interrupted edits do not consume credits

Troubleshooting

The edit changed too much

Use fewer instructions or be more specific. Try refreshing and editing again.

Nothing changed

Try rephrasing your prompt or making the change more explicit.
